Teresa R. Farnell was born on August 26, 1958 in Fort Pierce Florida. She attended public schools and graduated from Fort Pierce Central High School in Fort Pierce, Florida. She obtained her Associate degree from Indian River Community College, her Bachelor's Degree from Barry University and Master's Degree from Nova University. She taught in the Public School System in Fort Pierce and Okeechobee, Florida with 20+ combined years. Her past life experience includes being a clerk, secretary, teacher, consultative specialist, dean and principal of 3 (Level 4 & 5) District of Juvenile Justice Schools in Okeechobee. She is also partnerships with In the Image of Christ, Home Instead Senior Care,Mustard Seeds Ministries, the Harvest Outreach Center, the Well Community Church Inc, St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church,Women with Wisdom Inc., The Apostle Faith Church of Deliverance, the Salvation Army and many other organizations in the community and abroad. She is also on the Steering committee for the National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness and Florida State Partnership Speakers Bureau. Sister Teresa also is a phenomenal Healthy Self-concept facilitator and instructor at the Harvest Food Outreach Center in Fort Pierce and spreading into other areas of the community, other counties, nationally and internationally. She is also a certified Christian counselor and received domestic violence training (APPA training: Community Corrections Response to Domestic Violence Guidelines For Practice) . She is also on the Board of Directors for the Council of Social Agencies (COSA) on the Treasure Coast. Her community services also includes visiting clergy rep for Lawnwood Medical Center and Martin Memorial Hospital.  She is also the co-founder of the JEWELS Program for Juveniles: At-risk Youth.  She has also received numerous awards for her leadership, philanthropy, evangelistic and humanitarian work in the community. Presently Sis. Teresa is pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Biblical Studies at Northwestern Seminary.

Teresa R. Farnell is the wife of Deacon Richard Farnell Sr. (Her Overseer of the ZDOD Ministry)and the mother of two (2) sons and (3) daughters. She is also a proud grandmother. She has always attended church in her youthful and adult years, but she didn't accept Christ as her Personal Savior until September 1982. Through the guidance of her mother, at an early age she began to recognize she had a calling on her life, but she was patient and waited until her duties as a full-time mother had ceased in her home (She continues to do her duties as a devoted wife to her spouse and spiritual guidance to her family). God called her into the ministry full-time under the approval and guidance of her spouse and Spiritual leaders. She is ordained and licensed in the ministry by God and also been accepted in a Doctoral Program of Biblical Studies and Spiritual Counseling.

Teresa R. Farnell is also a published author and playwright. Through her many gifts and talents, a vision for Zion's Daughters of Distinction Ministries Inc. (ZDOD) came directly from God, specifically for women (but not limited to) from all walks of life. ZDOD is an outreach non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization which focuses on the totality of youth, elderly and women (spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially). ZDOD Ministries assists Spiritual leaders all over the world in evangelistic, teaching and preaching the Gospel (especially to youth, elderly and women but not limited too). Teresa does Healthy-Self Concept motivational and spiritual classes, workshops, conferences and revivals.This ministry is networking all over the nation, which has leaded her to a ZDOD's international missions in Kenya, Africa.
